Jim,
Just
wanted to let you know that Stan got my system installed and the very
first weekend out I saw a major difference that it made. On a Saturday I
practiced for a club tournament the next day at a lake here in East
Texas. I didn't give the system much thought because it was so nice and
calm although I covered a ton of water searching for fish. When I came
in out of habit I hooked my extension cord to my charger without
thinking. Then about a half hour later it struck me that I had that
system in my boat. I pulled up the lid and sure enough my batteries were
fully charged.
The next
day was a different story. 25 to 35 mph winds all day and all of my
spots were on the windy side of the lake. I spent most of my time
running banks with a RatlTrap or spinnerbait or holding the boat on
windy points carolina rigging. Through the coarse of the day I ran to
about 6 spots to fish sometimes for a couple of hours non stop on the
trolling motor. This day I was real conscious of checking the batteries
and making note of how I thought the system was working. Let me tell you
it was awesome. Not one time during the day did I feel the slightest
drop in power in my trolling motor. Not even at the end of the day when
it was time to head to the ramp to load up. I put my trolling motor on
100% to head out of a spawning cove to the main lake and just rode it
for about 5 minuites in that wind just to really give it a good test at
the end of the day. It passed with flying colors. My boat is not light,
Ranger 520VX Commanche with 225 Mercury Optimax, so it takes a powerful
trolling motor to deal with it and hasn't taken long in the past on a
day like this to start draining the power.
So I just
wanted to let you know that for a tournament fisherman this system is a
must for their boats and takes one more worry completely away so that
you don't even have to think about your trolling motor or the loss of
any power.
As for
anyone here in Texas that is thinking about the system Stan Browning is
the man you want to contact especially if you want it installed. Anyone
that knows Stan knows he is a Master Mechanic and can get it put in fast
the right way. In fact one of my bass club buddies has already contacted
him about getting one of the units installed in his boat.
Thanks
Jim for a great product. :thumb up:

Yes, the
StayNCharge works exceptional!! In the past I have been hindered by
battery problems, but not since I’ve been involved with StayNCharge. I
have enough confidence in them that I depend on them solely. At the
Lewisville event that I won in October, we had no way to plug in a
charger and with 20-30mph winds each day I relied only on the
StayNCharge system. I wouldn’t think of being on the water without one.
They do not void any warranties on your electrical system.
You would
be extremely pleased with the performance of the unit.
Thanks for
your inquiries and if I can answer any further questions, please contact
me.

Well, I got
to say that my vehicle did not have the ability to direct connect to the
trailer plug for charging. I had to do it the old fashioned, that is
follow the instructions that came with it. Even so, I had problems. Not
problems with the product but problems understanding which a phone call
to Jim solved. Jim is one very, and I mean VERY patient man. He talked
me through the install and had to explain it to me several times. Not
because it was difficult but because I was being a real block head and
just was not getting it. Well, I finally saw the light (no kidding, I
really saw the light on the LED) and that was way cool. The only real
problem we had was the my 492VS Ranger was a wee bit too long for the
wires that run from the bow to the back of the boat and a phone call to
Jim and he will be sending me out an extension set all made up and ready
to go. So, my overall impression is this: The product works which is
great and the owner Jim is even better to deal with. This is a great
product and if you fish tournaments and have to do overnights at hotels,
you don’t have to worry about electrical hook ups anymore. Buy this
product guys and gals, you’ll be happy. :thumb up: And it is made in the
USA :salute:

Jim
hooked me up with a new Stay N Charge and an All Charge and I’ve finaly
got it hooked up and tried it out a few times. This charging system is
just flat out awesome. As far as the installation, it is a breeze. The
only think to do to the truck to charge from it is to use the new plug
that comes with the system. I thought you would have to run wires to the
front of the truck to go to the battery or alternator and that is not
the case at all. Just plug in the new plug into the factory trailer tow
plug and that is it. It Y’s off for the Stay N Charge on one side and
your regular trailer lights on the other side. Then just run the 2 wires
through the boat and hook them up to the all Charge. I thought that
would be a job to run those wires through a 21 foot boat but it took
longer to straighten out a couple coat hangers to feed the wires than it
did to do it all. 20 Minutes for everything tops. Mounted the All Charge
in the batter compartment and everything runs through it. It splits up
the power and charges all my batteries any time I tow the boat. Plus it
has a lead that goes from the boats cranking battery to the All Charge
and as soon as my outboard has topped my cranking battery off it starts
charging my trolling motor batteries. For a back up I left my Dual Pro
charger in the boat which was a 2 bank charger and hooked both leads to
the All Charge for just in case I needed an AC charger. With the All
Charge and it hooked up this way my 2 bank charger will now charge all 3
batteries in the boat and when I get my 36 volt trolling motor and add
the fourth battery it will allow the 2 bank charger to charge all 4
batteries if need be. Awesome concept there.
Now for the
best part. I’ve been out about 4 times and haven’t used my dual pro AC
charger once. There is no need for it. I’ve checked my batteries every
time when I got home and each time my batteries are topped of, 100%
charged and ready to go again. 1 trip I only drove about 15 minutes to
get home and the batteries were fully charged in that short amount of
time. Its amazing. No coming home and then having to go hook up a
charger to your boat before your finished. And Thursday when I was out
on Barkley lake, the wind was howling and the waves and everything made
it tough to hold the boat. I run the trolling motor on 80-100% almost
all day and while running the outboard and switching spots and that
system putting juice back into my trolling batteries I never lost any
power at all. My batteries stayed just as strong at the end of the day
as when I started. They didn’t show the first sign of getting even a
little bit weak. That there is a big advantage to be able to fish nasty
conditions and not lose any power. I haven’t had this system long but I
can tell already I will not ever own another boat without it. It’s just
flat awesome. Anyone thinking about getting one, don’t think twice about
it. Just get it and you will be amazed at how well it works. I was very
skeptical about it and I have to say I am very impressed.
Sorry this
is so long but I wanted to fill everyone in on what a great product this
is and how well it works and how
EASY it is to install. I couldn’t believe how
easy the install was. It really is a great product though and dealing
with Jim is great. He will walk you through everything if you have
questions. I had several questions for him just because I couldn’t
believe it was that simple to hook up, I just new there had to me more
to it and there wasn’t. It just really was that simple

Jim, I
have had your system on my boat for about 2 months now. It has never
been plugged into an outlet since. Probably the best thing I have added
to my boat since I bought it. I carry a battery tester with me, and I
have never seen my batterys go below 12 volts yet. That is amazing in my
opinion. We did cut the wires that connects the truck to the charger and
added a plug to it. That way instead of rolling it up and having to
store the cable in the battery compartment with all that mess back
there, I unplug, roll it up and throw it in the truck while fishing.
Keeps the wires clean of grease and other junk. A great, great product
that is highly recommended to all those with bass boats. You will not
regret buying this charger.

I would
also like to throw my 2 cents in. I bought the original Stay N Charge a
few years ago and could not be happier. My previous boat was a 16 ft
aluminum jon boat. Since I fished the smaller ponds in Delaware, most of
the ponds are not big enough for a outboard motor so I relied on the
trolling motor to get me around. I had two batteries set up parallel to
extend my time out on the water. Our club only fished 5-6 hour
tournaments, so after the tourneys we would all go to another pond and
do some more fishing. This is where the Stay N Charge came in handy,
while I was driving to the other ponds, my batteries were being charged
and topped off through the SNC.
I also
have a summer cottage in NE PA which used to be a problem charging the
boat due to lack of outlets in the area, so I would have to lug both
batteries inside to charge them manually, which most of the time they
weren’t fully charged for the next morning.
Thank you
Jim for a great product and carefree charging. I recently upgraded boats
to a Ranger 185 and will be installing the All Charge so I can continue
the charging while I drive.

Here's my
scoop on the Stay-N-Charge -- not the All-In-Charge:
This a copy
of another post re my Stay-N-Charge tm battery charger system:
While
we're on the Stay-N-Charge topic, I used mine today. I have the model
that charges the tm batts' as you drive your truck. My problem was, I do
not have electric service where I keep my Ranger. So this setup works
excellent for me.
Today, I
went fishing at a lake approximately twenty-five miles away. Before I
left town, my tm batts's were about 70-80 % charged. Drove the distance
which took about forty-five minutes and arrived at the lake ramp.
Checked my batts with Jim's handy volt-meter and the batt's were at 100
% --ready to hit the water.
Coming
off the lake they were about 80 % and arriving back at my starting spot,
they were back on 100%. This product really works for me and saves me a
lot of time.
Because
my degree and army MOS had nothing to do with electrical gizmos and etc,
I needed some EXTRA help with changing the battery cables and tm wiring
configurations. After many cell phone calls that often tried Jim's
patience, and his EXCELLENT help, I installed it.
This
product is just what I needed and now the tm batts are always charged. A
big thanks to Jim for his excellent product and great assistance. I
would not trade this product for anything!!
