Fishing has always had a special place in my life. I grew up
loving life on a farm in Ogilvie, Minnesota. Early on it was hard
not to be exposed to fishing coming from the land of 10,000 lakes.
Many weekends were spent fishing in a boat or on the ice for the
numerous species MN lakes offer. After graduating from Blaine HS,
I attended the USAF Academy in Colorado. With the exception of some
trout fishing, life suddenly became too busy to enjoy my favorite
sport, but it was never far away in thought.
In 1991, the USAF brought me to Ft Walton Beach, FL. After bass
fishing in most local bodies of water, I decided it was time to
experience bass tournament competition with the support of my beautiful
wife Wendy and our, now 6 year old daughter Audrey.
I joined Miracle Strip Bass Club of Ft Walton Beach in 1999. When
not deployed from Hurlburt Field, FL on military assignments, I
take part in numerous BASS, FLW, ABA, and other tournament events
each year. My latest highlights include winning the 2006 Florida
Federation Nation Non-Boater AOY title and earning a spot on the
2005 Florida Bass Federation state team. This year I will be representing
Miracle Strip Bassmasters (FLW/TBF) as their club president, serving
the Florida Bass Federation as the NW Florida Regional Director,
and telling the world about Stay-N-Charge.
