Retrotec Inc. (Retrotec) was created from the need to find the best means to charge and keep charged batteries used in recreational fishing. Our desire to form a company that would provide the best charging products came from hearing the many negative stories from anglers whose batteries had died during tournaments and the losses they incurred.  Today, the product that provides the success to anglers is called Stayncharge.

The Stayncharge products were originally designed as an added means to help cut down charge time from the onboard chargers. After a couple of years of watching and hearing how well our Stayncharge Original worked, we decided to try and take the idea to a much higher level.

As the boating industry changed on how boats were wired and how the outboards got bigger, we found some very smart and willing electronic engineers to help us find the best and easiest way to maximize our idea – the Stayncharge All Charge. After many years of engineering review and successes we developed the idea to use the power that was being generated by vehicles and also by outboards and transfer it to the batteries.

By pulling a boat down the road or running a boat across the water, we found that we could provide the best product to control charge time without causing any heat problems. 

Stayncharge systems are made from the testing and feed back of anglers on and off the water including some of the top pro’s in the world. We continue to strive to meet all the needs given to us by the end user (you) and we will do so as the industry grows. We will take every idea given to us and will do the best we can to bring them to our Stayncharge products.  Through this commitment Retrotec has come to provide the best and only patented system of its kind. 

We would like to thank the thousands of anglers that have tried the products, who have called, emailed or just stopped by at tournaments to let us know how the products have helped them and suggested innovative ways to revise our products to better suit their needs.

While we thank the fishing community for their help in building our company, we also want to thank our current and future customers in other industries such as the defense, auto and motorized mobility communities.   

One last and important part of Retrotec that we hold most true to our heart is the fact that we are made in the USA.  We have been approached by the biggest companies in the US asking us if we would be interested in having our products made overseas and reap the rewards of doing so.  My family and I continue to build these systems as our part of the American dream  and that is why you will always see “made in the U.S.A.” on all of the Stayncharge products.
